Greencroft

Located on the edge of Chesham in a village called Bellingdon, Greencroft is a proposal for two contemporary family homes on an underutilised residential garden site.

Being in a sustainable location connected to the nearby Chesham, the site represented an opportunity to sensitively deliver new homes using Greybelt policy. Working alongside Novak Hiles Architects and MJP Planning, the design takes inspiration from Buckinghamshire's rural architectural heritage.

Simple gabled forms, brickwork, timber detailing and generous landscaping create homes that feel rooted in their surroundings while remaining distinctly contemporary.

A landscape-first approach retains the site's mature hedgerows, providing privacy, biodiversity and a strong sense of place. The result is a thoughtful Grey Belt development that delivers much-needed family housing while respecting the character of the local countryside and neighbouring homes.
